Emergency Preparedness/Crisis Response Drill
Wednesday, April 23, 2008
As part of our continuing efforts to prepare and respond to emergencies, the Rocklin campus will be the site of an Emergency Preparedness/Crisis Response drill on Wednesday, April 23, 2008. The drill will be a multi-casualty incident and will include a full response from the Placer County Office of Emergency Services, as well as other Placer County agencies.
It is important that everyone on campus has an understanding of our crisis response plans and procedures. The drill will provide us with an opportunity to assess our plans for the safety and security of our students and staff.
Classes are not to be canceled or moved because of the drill. It is important that normal campus instruction and operations are taking place to ensure a successful test environment. The entire campus is expected to follow all emergency procedures during the drill, including evacuation and/or lockdown procedures when notified. The drill will be focused in a specific area of the Rocklin campus, though you may see responders in additional areas, and it will conclude by mid-afternoon.
Information regarding Emergency Preparedness and Response is available on our website and also from your managers and supervisors.
There is no shortage of reminders as to why practicing our preparedness and taking this drill seriously, is vital for your safety and the safety of our students.
