Seventh Generation Project

7th Generation ProjectThe Seventh Generation Project is an on-going effort involving nearly 100 dedicated faculty members on the Rocklin, Grass Valley, and Truckee campuses.

The "Institute for Sustainability at the Sierra College Tahoe-Truckee campus" is a pilot project spearheaded by Frank DeCourten, and was initiated to develop a model for community-based sustainability education and outreach that might become a template for other campuses and communities within the Sierra College District.

Sierra College has gone greener

Sierra College is making a commitment: We’re going green! Sierra College no longer mails schedules for the semesters. Instead we’re mailing postcards on recycled-paper and saving more than 97 full-grown trees. Printing fewer schedules saves more than 12 million sheets of paper. And the schedule is still easy to find! Get it online or pick one up at your local library and many shops in your area. For a complete list of locations go to www.sierracollege.edu/list . Improve yourself, improve your world.
