Cheer Squad

Cheer team

The team returned from the Universal Cheerleader’s Association Cheer Camp at UC Santa Barbara on Sunday and was able to represent Sierra College very well. A total of 48 squads from D-1A - Junior College divisions were present at the camp. Sierra had the chance to see what other programs are like in their division as well as had the opportunity to see squads in action like Sac State, Arizona State, and perform in front of them as well.

The team had a great time, learned a lot of game-day material, and new stunts and pyramids. The highlight was that they were able to bring home three trophies to display in the Athletic Department office. They took first place in the sideline championship in the Junior College Division (12 squads’ total), third place in the cheer championship, and took home an overall Superior trophy, which was awarded to the top squad in each division!

Please look for the team on the sidelines at all home football games and select away games- don’t be afraid to cheer with them and show your Wolverine Pride!
