Career Courses

Career Courses assist students in self-assessment, career exploration, decision-making, occupational research, and goal setting through a formal class setting, taught by career counselors.

P.D. 6 - Career Planning - 3.0 units
Provides information and assistance with the process of career planning. Includes career exploration, decision-making, job search strategies and assessment of personality, interests, skills, and abilities. This course satisfies Section E of the CSU General Education requirements.

P.D. 21 - Self-Assessment and Career Exploration through Technology - 0.5 unit
Assists students in self-assessment, decision-making, and career exploration through the use of technology and career assessment tools. Self-paced and best suited for motivated students with excellent time management skills.

P.D. 94 - Career Exploration Internship - 0.5 - 4.0 units
Designed for students seeking to gain career awareness, experience, and knowledge in a particular field of interest. Provides exposure to a business/industry, training the students in additional job skills that will enhance academic learning, under the direction of a supervisor. Internship 95 - Find your academic department in the Internship 95 Instructor Directory – 0.5 - 4.0 units
Designed for advanced students in vocational majors who will perform work in an area related to their college major. Provides new on-the-job technical training under the direction of the supervisor, using equipment and personnel not normally available through the college. Students must be currently enrolled in and complete at least 7 units including internship course units during spring and fall semesters, or one class in addition to the internship course during summer sessions.
