Supportive Education

The Supportive Education Program on the Rocklin Campus offers classes for students with developmental disabilities. There are no fees for non-credit classes.

Classes offered:

  • Verbal Cognition (Sup. Ed. 824)

    Fundamentals of reading and writing with emphasis on phonics, spelling, vocabulary and comprehension. Self-improvement in the area of study skills, problem solving and communication techniques.

  • Job Search Skills (Sup. Ed. 831)

    Basic computation, consumer math, and practical use of computer programs. Job seeking skills include interviewing, writing applications and resumes, and improvement in the areas of job attitudes and work relations.

  • Motor Development (Sup. Ed. 802)

    Motor Development classes offer physical activities to meet the varied need of the students. Activities include team sports, walking and jogging.
