You do not need to have insurance to use Student Health Services as your prepaid student health fee covers many services. However, your student health fee does not cover hospital care, referrals to specialists, dental, vision, or emergency transportation. For these reasons, we strongly recommend you obtain supplemental health insurance. You can purchase the Domestic Student Health Insurance Plan from Somerton Insurance online. This insurance includes Express Scripts, Vision Services and an optional Delta Dental Plan of California.
International Students
As an International Student you are required to maintain insurance coverage for Health, Medical Evaluation, and Repatriation during your enrollment at Sierra College. You can purchase the International Student Health Insurance Plan from Somerton Insurance online. Registration holds are placed on all international students until proof of insurance is provided.
